Spring is advancing nicely and the first show is coming up. Be sure you have your APHA memberships ready in advance, before the first show! Now is the time to get the paperwork in order. If you're showing Novice or Amateur, your paperwork has to be sent to APHA in advance of the show.
OPHC members can still join at the show, but to avoid confusion its best to get that done early as well! Contact Shelley Cassel if you have any membership questions at (519) 698-2732. Membership forms are on the forms page.
A new grounds fee of $10 per horse per day has been introduced for 2010. This fee covers the cleanup costs incurred by the club for horses that are shown from their trailers. This fee does not apply if a stall is rented for a horse.
A big "thank you"! to Patty Picard and her team of volunteers for planning, promoting, and hosting a tune-up clinic at her arena! The clinic featured Tracey Patternson of Patternson Show Horses and covered Showmanship, Hunter Under Saddle, Huntseat Equitation, Western Pleasure and Western Horsemanship.
